KARAOKE

We are going to subtitle music videos. The first thing you have to do is choose a video from www.youtube.com and find the lyrics using www.google.com.

We are using an application called OVERSTREAM. You need to register for an account if you want to use this application.

Once you are logged in, you can start with the subtitles, but it is a good idea to click the help button and have a look at the tutorial and the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).

The Overstream Editor Tutorial Part 1: Basic Operation is very simple and will show you how to use this application.
Now you are ready to create your Overstream videos, clicking in Create Overstream.

The first thing you have to do is copy the youtube video URL and enter it:

Now you can start working with the subtitles. It is very easy if you have watched the tutorial and follow the instructions. Remember you have to save all the changes and you can go back to your video as many times as you want to.

ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED YOUR VIDEOS SEND THE LINK TO YOUR TEACHER (mceide@xtec.cat)  IN A MESSAGE AND I WILL PUBLISH THEM IN THIS SITE, SO THE REST OF STUDENTS CAN WATCH THEM. WRITE “VIDEO" IN THE SUBJECT OF THE MESSAGE AND MAKE IT PUBLIC BEFORE SENDING IT.

Remember you have to know the list of irregular verbs you have in your workbook, in page 160. In the following links you will find exercises to practice them. Follow the instructions of the teacher in order to get a good mark:

Now we are ready for some LISTENING. Listen to this song by Gloria Gaynor and go to I Will Survive – exercises. There you will find the lyrics of the song and four exercises, you have to do all of them and send the answers to mceide@xtec.cat. Copy and paste them in a word document with your answers with “survive” in the subject of your message.
